I agree with your comment relating to the extension of the offer - I would expect Moellis to advise the company to keep extending the offer for as long as they can.

One concern that I have is that the Price gives up after he realises that he is snookered with the hybrids - the company drifts and the thing falls apart.

A sensible commercial deal needs to be made. That requires Coastal and Price to sit down in good faith and come to a deal. Just being obstructionist on both sides makes the chances of mutual destruction greater.
