Successive federal governments have done bugger to help miners diversify their customer base or incentivise processing in Australia. No vision, no leadership. Just the same old story of exporting raw materials for another country to profit from.
At least now we have a few young companies trying to do more, like QPM and EGR. Not getting much help from federal government. Hell, the government sat on their hands as China began eating struggling miners alive in 2018/2019.
