However, there's a difference IMO between "because as Tunks mentioned in the video the drill geologists would only do that if they found something!." and what he actually said... "The geologists have the discretion to continue (the drill) if they see something they really like." (approx) . I think they like the alterations they're likely intercepting. They may well be seeing sufficient geological variation in the strata with zones of alteration which continue open as extensions of the original target depth. This is not the same as "found something". However... The encouraging thing here is the consistency of zones of alteration (likely reason for DD extension) increases the chances of intercepting Au. AT has stated early on that despite the presence of the correct host rock and associated mineralisation, Au may not be present. However.... the 50cm vein verifies the presence of gold beneath the artisanal pits and that's indisputable. They clearly like what they are seeing below ground in terms of alteration and pyrite %. The big question on everyone's mind here is whether or not the highly concentrated gold at the surface is the main lode eroded over time and incorporated into the regolith where surface mining has taken place with great success in recent years. Are those main lodes exhausted? Are they the main ore body or are they just representative of one of many gold-bearing intrusions?
