Very respectfully, regarding your comment, "I Have & would NEVER EVER contemplate voting for Labor".
Assuming you filled in your ballot papers correctly, may I make the point that you and a great many others always vote for Labor, albeit it in order of preference; that Labor is one of your preferred choices, though not your first choice; and that you have little or no reason to complain of them because you voted for them.
Such is the manipulative nature of the parliaments' preferential voting system; people led to vote for those that they might honestly disagree with.
As for me, I leave their ballot papers blank; I don't vote for any of them; and can complain about all of them!
