Daniel Andrews has caved into criticism that Victoria's Contact Tracing System is not working.
Today Andrews announced a delegation would travel to Sydney to identify whaty Victoria can do to bring its contact tracing system up to the rolled gold NSW standard.
The Vic delegation will include Australia's Chief Scientist Alan Finkel.
Prior to the announcement CHO Brett Sutton was on Melbourne radio and stated that the contact tracing system was better tyhan what it was. Funnt that because Andrews has been lying for months saying contact tracing was doing the job when clearly it wasn't and everybody knew it.
Sutton confirmed today that parts of contact tracing rely on paper based fax systems. He also said he had limited control on the delivery of results from pathology labs to DHHS.
Sutton also confirmed he did not advise Daniel Andrews to put a curfew in place for Melbourne. What then was the medical advice that Andrews relied upon to put a dracian curfew in place?
This is one lie Andrews cannot squirm out of.
Andrews should resign and take the incompetent health minister with him.
