Hi dai, Sour looser...Labor (not Andrews) romped it in the last Victorian election and the opposition, such as it is, is in tatters.
We are not in a totalitarian State yet and Party Policy , not the leader, is what the electorate votes on.
When leaders step down (ie: WA this week & NSW 18 months ago) there was not a general election to elect a new leader....simply a Party Room vote.
So all you RW Populists who are rusted on to the leadership Cult, be careful what you wish for because you may get a Trump-like leader who wont accept democracy....then how would you be...eh?
