Local Government is just an extension of State Government and it seems strange that any council could be broke unless of course it is through financial mismanagement. The huge increase in rate revenue from standard house blocks, to dual occs, to multi storey unit developments would be filling their coffers. Maybe you need the Greens to get their way and freeze rents for 2 years. We all know that wouldn't apply in your Cricket Clubs situation. What a farcked up State we live in.
