Guy on the internet unable to tell the difference between support for Commonwealth Games and contempt for political incompetence.

Even if the state in question is somehow able to borrow money at the low rate of 5%, it's citizens will still be coughing up to service an annual interest bill of $8.5 billion on its >$170bn of debt.

Which is a very big amount; money that could otherwise have built a lot of hospitals, schools, and roads.
Or, alternatively, could have employed a lot of nurses, teachers and police officers.

This cancellation is a symptom of the incompetence of Andrews.
