issue isn’t the Comm Games support. The Comm Games is something that the Andrews Government bid for. They won against other bidders, based on their own costing. The fact they pulled out so close has left the games high and dry. Their excuse that these costings were so wrong is a sign of their incompetence.

they should never have bid if they either didn’t value the games, or were not going to put sufficient effort into getting costings right. Others would have valued the games and got costings right.
the truth is that Victoria is so much in debt that they should never have bid. They cannot afford anything based on significant mismanagement.
