If transporting gas by pipeline and not by gas tankers is such an uneconomical proposition, why do they pipe gas from the east coast of Siberia to Western Europe, or from Alaska to the USA?
Do people really think that that is done because it is silly,expensive and those people don't have a clue what they are doing?
All Twiggy is saying is we need gas on the East coast now and it takes years to build a pipeline.
Especially taking in mind that we need 15 studies on gas fracking, how many studies are we going to have on piping gas East?
Don't forget that this is not the first study. They were talking about a west - east pipeline back in the mid eighties that is 30 years ago and so far only have produced piles and piles of reports and no pipeline, now we are doing another study.
When do they stop studying and build something, or are we going to have a study why to have a study?
It seems that at this moment the only growth industry we have is the study industry.
