The facts are that Rudd is more popular than ever - so get used to him.
If you listen carefully to people like those of "Insiders" you will have picked up long ago that Rudd is a control freak, highly egotistical, prickly, pompous, affected, precious and a workaholic - and those are his good points.
He is very likely to have gifted that GW comment to a trusted journo - his ego would do it.
