David Speers of Skynews has just done a lengthy interview with AWU comrade Paul Howes who said repeatedly that he and all the unions supported Julia Gillard and her govt.
He expressed anger at the media for "twisting his words". He said that Labor govts were elected to make radical changes. And that the Gillard govt had achieved great things for working people.
Howes says the Labor movement must unite to campaign against Abbott and the coalition. He believes that Gillard will lead the party to a win in September, despite what the polls are currently saying.
