That's the problem. They promise to behave themselves, that they've learnt their lesson, that they will be fiscally conservative, they they will spend within their means, but it is all LIES LIES LIES!!!
And every so many years, the punters keep falling for it!!
Mark my words, no matter how bad these current clowns are, somewhere down the track, 1 2 3 or 4 or 5 terms, there will be another crop of starry eyed voters who have either forgotten how bad they are, or who don't know how bad they can be, and they will be back in doing the same destructive things all over again.
