one of the benefits of living in Kirribilli was that you can walk across the Harbour Bridge to the pubs in the Rocks (particularly the pub with their own brewery...forget name) for a while then stagger back home again.
A downside was frequent fireworks, road closures for special events and exhaust fumes from the harbour bridge.
