Root causes are easy here... These spoiled brats demand that the lollypop of government freebies be continued and even expanded or they are going to throw such a big tantrum, break all their toys and hit the kid next to them...

They are part of the university and as such a member of the student body and no more alienated than any member of our society and only if they choose to alienate themselves by dope addiction or some other psychological or self-induced problem
However I suspect that there would be some leftist union-thugs imported as muscle and leg-breakers to beef up the violence....
