I just don't think you understand the way that science and medicine work.
These scientists and doctors work for in the industry because it's their passion, it's what they love to do, they spent years at university studying to get where they are. Not to sit in a dark room wringing their hands and chuckling in an evil manner. They do it because they want to make a difference in the world.
Scientists are not some corrupt species of people.
Yes, there are always going to be a few bad eggs who lose track of what they are doing, they become so focused on one particular view point that they'll go as far as corrupt tactics to put forth this view. These people are shunned by the scientific community.

You are so dead set on the view point that they are doing it to make a bit of money.
Is Bill Gates spending billions to help save lives because he is evil and trying to mind control them?
