I can comprehend it quite easily.
If there were less cars on the roads, road deaths would drop.
If there were less hospitals there would be less deaths in hospitals.
I can completely understand and accept that.
You just miss the biggest issues with the article.
They have no official figure,
They are in a constant state of unrest,
Difference in one area in a single year/observation hardly can provide proof, it can make us question why that occurred but hardly create set assumptions.
It's written like a newspaper article, not a scientific journal article. And it contains no 'science' just newspaper like reporting
But sure, I have a 'constipated mindset'.

Show me the research that says avoiding surgery keeps you alive longer, if you can provide it and it stands up to the normal tests then I can absolutely accept it.
Just like if you can show me that articles that say that smallpox wasn't really an issue and being vaccinated against it wasn't worth the time because we could just drink clean water and some fruit to avoid it..
