My understanding is that it is more of a partnership. However, I read that Animoca exchanged $250K worth of shares for WAX tokens. Animoca are going to be placing some items from The Sandbox onto the WAx marketplace.

Anything that expands the the use of digital goods and NFT’s will benefit everyone. If WAX’s partnership is indeed with Disney, it will bring much needed legitimacy To the space.
