As far as I am aware there is no date set yet or actual official response. The WA Premier has told FMG and Aquila to work together for a new proposal as he does not intend to allow a single IO Co. to be put in a position where they could hold another to ransom. There's probably many political reason's one could put in subtext, depending on how facetious one is. ;)

A previous statement by FMG (sorry couldn't find it) was that they are working with Aquila to iron out their differences and put a new proposal together. How that is going I am also not aware. Aquila stated at their GM that they had put a joint proposal to FMG last Nov, but had not had a response at that time

According to scuttlebutt FMG's proposed build/method for the Port was apparently favoured however not the time frame or single entity lead.

Apparently Aquila will need the Port in 2014, FMG not until 2015. It's in both interests to work it out and with Aquila's nearer time frame I wouldn't think that it will be to long until an announcement. That's my supposition anyway.
