Very impressive grant for that project. Some serious interest from the government in getting the resource into production. (I assume that's a large grant to reach development, not a grant to simply explore/drill for Sb)
That should be a good comparison - to see what size of antimony resource is seen as valuable by the government, and what grade of by-product is economic in their study.
I think they show this for production.
So high gold production (200-575koz PA).
The gold grade is already high (>1g/t), so it does not seem to show how useful the antimony by-product was to getting the project over the line.
It looks to show 6Moz gold @ 1.42g/t (M&I), plus 0.07% antimony = 700ppm.
So 700ppm was all good for the government grant, but that's in bulk. 206,000,000 lb Sb = 93,440 tonnes M&I stibium.
Nova show this:
I think 700ppm Sb is 700g/t, so 700*0.0002018 = 0.14g/t AuEq from their Sb by-product.
So the grant was based on: 1.42g/t Au + 0.14g/t AuEq from Sb. Not a high Stibium grade, but something like 10,000 lb of Stibium production per year, and a high chance of economic development thanks to the gold grade and volume.
Their gold is at a better grade than Nova's, but the volume of plant throughput would not be all that different, so 700ppm is a reasonable comparison for Sb grade, when seeing our drill results. It would need to be in bulk, so waiting for that number from Korbel or RPM (bulk resources). But it's also relevant to Trumpet.
Just noting the Trumpet soil samples. It shows 10-50x the Stibium grades. It would still need to be big to be relevant to the government, but only 1/20 as big (as 6Moz M&I), if that grade kept up. From our perspective, that could mean a target size of 300k Oz AuEq (no geological expectation, just considering the economics of that scenario) which is good but not enormous, but from the government's perspective it could look like a large Stibium resource with quick time to extraction (smaller resource, only a few years to mine). Could look good to them.
@NovaMInerals2 Did Trumpet's drilling get cancelled because of the troubles at Train? (Moving pad, stopped holes, weather) I guess those 2 targets would have intended to share the drill, if timing worked out.
