Meanwhile Tesla needs to take a good look at the EVs out of China - BYDs look fantastic and their body-build is magnificent, on the surface anyway, and on initial purchase they are competitive (what the true cost of ownership is yet to be determined).
China EVs are here to stay.

As an aside I think we in the West will eventually rejig our relationships - with China in particular, just as we rejiged with Japan.
China has some real grudges, for instance 'The Opium Trade' fostered by UK to get opium grown in Afghanistan on ship to China and, quite literally, get all China hooked on the stuff. All for profit of course.
How to do so in light of their communist/socialist/capitalist conglomeration is the issue no one can see through.

Anyway good luck with your African ventures - stay off the opium, and I will hold these lithiums, one of which is a nuisance dog which I refuse to sell. Too big a mistake to sell - lol.
