My view of NAPE is primarily formed from a contact of mine (from the industry) who referred to it as "the place that projects go to die". I respect his opinion, so expect nothing to eventuate from it. Of course if something does, well done to the team. Farm-outs can take years though and I can't see any player moving on XCD without new 3D and/or well data. To drill a well on XCD's leases will probably be in the vicinity of $20-30 mill, I know the company have mooted the idea of potentially drilling in Summer with small rigs, I'm very sceptical of this. After looking at the list of summer Tundra approved vehicles, a rig with pipe, cement, mud, crew etc would not be approved.

If you are chasing some well data(you probably have it though) from the historical wells at Umiat I can post links if you require.

The Alaskan State did a very comprehensive study on building a permanent service road to the Umiat Camp and airstrip but that has gone cold. Highly unlikely they would commit to further works without some expected production. Even if a well could be drilled next season at best it would be exploratory and would require further drilling to delineate the resource. Production, if any, would be 4-5 years away, IMHO.

With COP successfully drilling to the north, we may just pique the interest of a potential new entrant or existing player, who knows. Sure, plenty of obstacles comparative to 88e....apples and oranges....but that's where the possible value lies IMO. Last week's ann. was a very positive step to unlocking some value. Interesting view on NAPE, will definitely be keeping an eye out for feedback, cheers
