FYI I've just spoken to Ross and enquired about a number of issues from SP to the mineralisation and the next stages of the drill program, the following is a rough outline of our conversation but is not to be taken as literal and is my interpretation
Is there an additional permit required for cerro Rayas ... yes but a shorter "automatic" process is being looked into currently to speed this process up
Will weather or seasonal change effect drilling... no we will continue as normal through all of the year ( I didn't raise the point that weather impeded things previously)
When will phase 2 start ? ...
Phase 2 part 1 will start as soon as they've accessed the findings from all of phase one . Minor adjustments will need to be made to the permit but it is very straightforward and will enable new targets to be focused on and prevents wasting meters drilling areas of interest previously , but of less interest now due to assays and the information gained from phase 1
I was interested in the type of mineralisation that's been found and his confidence in the project since he's started, obviously there's always a positive slant on things but he caught my attention when he explained that without meticulous inspection of the cores and their orientation this type of mineralisation is impossible to interpret.
I can see his logic in this , the mineralisation is irregular and needs to be tracked to source . Personally I'd rather they take longer and find the good stuff than rush cores to the lab to tell us they've found more average grades , and I think this is evident in the increased grades in assays as they progress.
That's about it , we spoke briefly about SP and we have the same opinion in that the only thing that moves it is finding the good stuff, a million releases of fluff will do nothing . But I did thank him for releasing more information recently and he recognised the need to keep SH informed and regularly as possible as people generally tend to think the worst at times
All in all I view this the same as I always have .... a patient gamble , imo we get closer every day , just a matter of time
