WGX dumping their holdings in MGV had absolutely nothing to do with the quality of MGV ore. WGX was staving off collapse and desperately needed cash. They were probably lucky MGV started drilling in a different direction and began to find higher quality, shallow hits to give WGX a much needed cash hit when they most needed it.
Bet they'd love the high quality, shallow pods now...
