The Dandoko Project covers 134km2 within the Kenieba Inlier of West Mali in close proximity to numerous world class gold deposits including B2Gold’s 7.21Moz Fekola gold project 30km to the west and Randgold’s 12.5Moz Loulo Gold Mine 50km to the north-northwest.
Dandoko is underlain by Proterozoic Birimian meta-volcanic and meta-sedimentary sequences. A series of dominant NNE-trending faults, displaced by a second set of ESE-trending faults, have been mapped or interpreted from aeromagnetic data. Oklo considers that the NNE-trending structures are splays emanating from the Senegal-Mali Shear Zone (“SMSZ”), a regional NNW-trending strike-slip fault that plays an important role in controlling gold mineralisation in the region. The SMSZ is extensively mineralised and hosts no fewer than six major gold deposits for an endowment estimated at greater than 40Moz, including Sadiola (13.5Moz) and Loulo (12.5Moz).
Seko Prospect
The Seko prospect is a new discovery by Oklo Resources of five mineralised gold trends with significant gold potential. The prospects were identified after a systematic auger drilling program completed in February 2017 delineated over 6km of anomalous strike length on four trends spaced 500 to 750m apart.
Follow up aircore drilling on an initial 9 traverses returned significant gold in all 5 Seko anomalies including:
- 54m at 1.37g/t gold from 0m
incl 24m at 2.02g/t gold from 12m - 35m at 1.86g/t gold from 55m
incl 15m at 3.02g/t gold from 64m - 13m at 2.27g/t gold from 23m
- 18m at 2.01g/t gold from 55m
Dabia & Sory
Sory drilling returned grades up to 13.3g/t gold and multiple zones of mineralisation including:
- 14m at 1.31g/t gold from 48m
- 5m at 2.82g/t gold from 49m
- 5m at 2.27g/t gold from 14m
- 44m at 1.37g/t gold from 33m
- 35m at 1.00g/t gold from 19m
At Dabia drilling returned grades up to 16.0g/t gold and multiple zones of mineralisation including:
- 15m at 2.05g/t gold from 26m
- 4m at 5.03g/t gold from 68m
- 25m at 2.50g/t gold from 65m
- 9m at 2.66g/t gold from 99m
- 5m at 4.85g/t gold from 31m
Results confirm Dandoko Gold Corridor as a district scale trend with potential for further discoveries
