There are enough indicators for mine to suggest that the Yangibana project gets the green light, including support from Australian, German and Finland state government affiliated entities. I’d be extremely surprised to see many, if any, other rare earth plays on the ASX ever reach production, let alone reach production on this side of the next decade as the supply chains of key rare earths Nd and Pr become increasingly stretched from the rapid adoption of EV and control by China.

HAS ticks the boxes for mine:
✅ Low upfront capex (approx $500m)
✅ Tier 1 mining jurisdiction - WA, Australia
✅ Highest NdPr:TREO ratio among peers
✅ 80% of register held by non-retail
✅ Significant exploration upside potential
✅ Experienced board & mgmt incl ex-Lynas
✅ Support by state-government affiliates
✅ 65% of production already under offtake
✅ Equity project financing finalised
✅ Next rare earths producer on the ASX

Exciting times ahead with debt financing, further offtakes, a final investment decision and upward revisions to the project NPV all due by month end March 2021. Even without any revisions or resource upgrades, HAS is trading at a considerable discount to the current project NPV.

VML is the other ASX rare earths play that will beat this to production also with quality management from LYC and NTU
