Out of the 304 holes only 74 holes were drilled in the originally planned location (asx release 28th January 2022).
The remaining 230 holes were drilled in a different location in Tharapuram near Mannar town. This is due to the strong protest from the public of Pesalai, Thoddaveli & Thalai Mannar against TSL drilling.

Mining in Tharapuram will be really expensive since the area is hometown of a powerful corrupt member of parliament in Sri Lanka.
