Could Hazer be the answer to Australia's aging coal plants?
Rather than using nuclear, with all its problems for the Australian context, thre is another alternative that would be worthy of consideration. If natural gas were to replace coal, then the emissions would be halved. Because modern gas turbines can also be operated on hydrogen, a turquoise hydrogen plant (hopefully a Hazer one) could be inserted between the natural gas supply and the turbines to convert the natural gas to hydrogen at the same time as producing valuable graphite and eliminating CO2 emissions.
The efficiency of the various turquoise hydrogen processes would be the determining factor. Giddy up Hazer.
