Firstly, welcome aboard @ArgylePink.
Unfortunately, not all ionic clay rare earths deposits are created equal, they have to be proven first.
Even if you find another project as good as this one, the chances are that it may not have the same economic legs. For instance, THR made a high grade rare earths discover just yesterday (see announcement) However, they still need to do the lab work to prove that they have found an ‘ionic style of REE mineralisation’. Even if it does come back with promising results, it will take another full drilling program with additional lab work to further prove it’s potential. Nevertheless, we all have to start somewhere.
We are going to need a lot rare earth projects to be able to compete with China’s established knowhow. So, as they put up ‘barriers to entry’, proven clay-hosted ones will be immune to their BS because it isn’t subjected to the same cost structures as I've stated above – a point I think is lost on most investors.
Plus, to some extent AR3 have been quietly inventing metallurgical efficiencies and knowledge that others who will follow may be the beneficiary of in time, provided they are located in tier1 jurisdictions. That’s because we will need to create a collective front to combat the likes of China's influence.
What put us in great stead is our highly experience management team and board that are internationally recognised in the rare earth sector. Therefore, with this latest CR, prior to raise the SH position of directors, management and institution shareholding stood at about 45%, now its possibly over 60% which means that were on a solid footing to leverage SH value.
This project is going to be moving a lot quicker than some may have been accustomed to, especially if they have invested in the hard rock space. Besides, for the sake of supply chain security in the green energy transition that is upon us, the world can’t afford to have any more of its REE projects crippled by similar LYC legal actions or VML construction halts.
Exciting year ahead!
