To be fair everyone has their own preferences. I think this must be a thing otherwise why does the big 4 banks need to address it? I am no banking experts by any means but if most of them had a webpage addressing this matter, it certainly means there were inquries about it.
Also it was you that stated "many international student from India and China open account back home in a bank that has branch in Australia so it isn't as difficult as it sounds to transfer money for international students in my opinion." I was just addressing your statement? I thought you knew people from overseas that want to open accounts in Aus before they move here??? Or did I misinterpret you that you meant you can transfer money from Bank of India from Mumbai to the branch in Sydney?
