I feel the point you are missing here, and I do believe that management do realise, is that they have broken the trust that has been enjoyed between holders and management since the new management took over.
Smart management would never say something that could come back to bite them on the bum at a later date.
That is crucially important, especially in a spec company like PER.
I doubt that the trust and respect can ever be restored fully.
I think the board know this, and regret they were basically forced into it, from reading between the lines.
I appreciate what you say in that it was probably a good technical move, but what price have they paid in other ways?
