We’ve been very busy on the ground at our Mardie Salt and Potash site in the North West - so we wanted to share an update with you on our progress!

Marine Package
Among the most exciting updates to share is that we are well underway progressing the work for our 2.4km jetty and conveyor system which will eventually transport our salt and potash for export.

More than a third of the work had been completed, which will include a jetty head, ship-loader tower and dolphins as well as 3.5m wide roadway for maintenance access.

☸️Wheel Wash Station
To ensure we’re protecting the environment, we’ve built and completed a dedicated wheel wash station.

It will wash all vehicles leaving site as a mitigation measure inhibiting the spread of weed and seed contaminants.

Mardie Road Alignment
Road construction projects, including the North-South Road, Mardie Road and the Northwest Coastal Highway Intersection, are progressing well. The North-South Road and Mardie Road are almost three quarters complete, while the Northwest Coastal Highway Intersection has been fully completed.

These important roadways will provide safe access to site for the life of the operations and during heavy haulage campaigns for construction - but also functions as levee protection barriers for the evaporation ponds from upstream flood events.

Pond 2
Work has commenced on reinforcing the walls of pond 2 to ensure that the adjacent gas pipelines are protected.

Pond 5
Pond 5 is expected to be completed by the end of September, with some minor tasks still in progress, including the installation of a pavement layer on the trafficable embankments.

This work will allow access to the pond 5-6 transfer pump station and the internal pond 4-5 weir.
