If you are looking at the context of the Dande, Pebbly comment (including reading the source)... it was in regards to the 20 TCF, if they do not have commercial quantities, then well... good game. Residual =/= commercial quantities.
IVZ has weaker fundamentals.
Financials:
MAY actually said they don't need anymore credit raises and have stuck to it since their last exploration well, and since their appraisals. MAY is actually "engaging" with investment banks. source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlZmSIP5rz4&ab_channel=InvestorStream
E.g MAY's 70% funded from their $5-$6billion partner (Sonangol)
Logistics:
ASX:MAY has a nearby pipeline, nearby super tanker port and a nearby battery farm for storage all of which has been green lighted for use by the regulator (approved for use). IVZ is a logistical nightmare requiring a massive capital investment, if they build a pipeline, where would it be to? and how far would it have to be? about 30km is about $250million lol.... good luck with that... Let's not even attempt to talk about how long it would take to design and plan this, (many years) whereas ASX:MAY is ready to go.
Product:
ASX:MAY has the pressure, they have demonstrated production and they have a product which is valued at WTI -5% according to the COO (source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlZmSIP5rz4&ab_channel=InvestorStream) ASX:MAY are about to appraise the deeper sections which potentially have even more oil (which couldn't be logged previously) and a higher quality crude.
IVZ admitted some of their sections only yielded "residual hydrocarbons" (source: 71685414) and in other sections, they didn't have a "trap" (source: 71685414). The appraisal test is going to be everything for IVZ, if it fails in the section they actually were able to get a sample from, then that will be a massive blow to the company. I believe the appraisal tests will fail, I believe this because of the never-ending trouble they have with their well stability and possibly a lack of pressure from the reservoir. When the director keeps telling you the geology is complicated... that tells me the seals/traps could be leaking (very bad).
etc etc... the bottom line is, ASX:IVZ is waving big red flags, whereas ASX:MAY are kicking goals.
