I'm proposing that the ability to obtain a gas sample means there is a live gas accumulation...which in turn requires a working trap and seal on the structure.
The primary data you get from a well test:
1. productive capacity. 2. reservoir pressure. 3 reservoir permeability and 4. extent of a hydrocarbon reservoir beyond the well bore.
