I may be being a bit pedantic but SMs comment is a bit confusing.

So far we've managed to recover samples of gas to surface in an MDT sample chamber. While this increases the odds of the formation flowing to surface during a flow test we haven't seen any information that might give us a clue as the permeabilty at the points that were sampled. Fluid mobilities, type of probe used (Saturn most likely), pump out time and quality of the sample all give important clues as to permeability.

I don't know of any companies that have employed stimulation as part of the process of recovering a sample to surface using a wireline formation test tool. Simulation would normally be done associated with a flow test.
