In the Dec webinar, SM combats the concept of compartments, by saying that the 3d survey can often locate where thin payzones laterally can expand into much thicker pay zones. So like the whole well itself, you have a fifty-fifty bet on flow rates, and you can have a 50-50 bet on zones thinning or widening. I think he is betting that the zones we have drilled through are thinning at the margins of the closure, and that 3d may indicate where they are widening towards the middle.
