This graphic from Benchmark is interesting (unsure of original source, I'd taken it from an X feed by OSX - OrestocksNews).

The HPMSM information on this chart doesn't make any sense. I can only presume its pure metal equivalents of HPMSM so a 65kt plant at a >99.9% purity product (of 32% Mn) is being reported as 20.8kt of supply. There's a typo somewhere because 15kt*21 new plants = 315kt but on the graphic 319kt is presented as the existing supply and 90kt as the new supply needed. Either the number of new plants is wrong, or Manganese has been misprinted. Manganese really is the forgotten metal so even Benchmark doesn't have enough visibility of it that a spot check would pick up errors.

Until LMFP starts making a significant appearance, the primary battery use of HPMSM is in NMC where it is paired with Cobalt in similar proportions. Cobalt has strong growth, so I think Benchmark have made a printing error and transposed the sides for HPMSM and its 90kt existing, 319kt needed. The 319kt needed would be ~1,000kt of HPMSM capacity. The existing supply would be ~280kt of HPMSM. Those have ball-park alignment with other figures I've seen.
