If you look at the Gap Lode intercepts along strike from section 40,3000E they get skinny quickly. 2m intervals are really only TW of 1m, for a 60 deg dipping hole, and the deeper holes are often steeper (~70 deg) to shorten the hole while still hitting the lode at depth. Holes LTDD22052 and 53 on this section have TW of 30% and 35% DH interval respectively (rounding both up). The main Gap Lode intervals of 5m for hole 52 is TW ~1.5m and 4.6m hole 53 is ~ 1.6m TW. Zoom in on RVRs old section 40,3070E and DH widths are all <2m except the very top., which means around 1m TW ore lode.

Look up some old long sections, consider the depth and angle of attack to a sub-vertical 'Carrington style' FW lode and you'll see why the last MRE only came up with 400kt of resource across a monstrous area. These are all facts, not trying to mislead anyone.

This LS I've been adding to isn;t complete but it has a lot of holes, if not some of the poor ones. The thicker and often Au rich part of the Gap is definitely towards the top of the LS, centred within the ~250m strike of material Gap lode mineralisation. Looking at the intervals reported at depth with the knowledge that TW is much thinner than DH width at depth and the skinny nature of the Gap is quite apparent (similar to Carrington).

The vector for SHN first hole into Liontown was chasing the up the thickening stockwork and lode towards the LS top (regardless of the Feed er Zone theory). Hole RC187 returned a thick "Gap Lode Intercept" regardless that it's samples were too wet and insufficient quality for reporting. Between the logs and I presume assaying the wet and possibly contaminated sample they did get, RVR was very precise in their call of what thickness of Lode they intercepted. Hole RC187 is basically the same collar as they used for LLRC001 and LLRD001 (coincidence not imho).

Another hole left off the section but included in RVRs MRE is LLRC081. Also drilled almost on the same collar location, but at 70deg dip so steeper than others, it assayed 9m @ 8.3% Zn but very little Au. That intersection is ~3.3m TW and correlates well with the 10m of higher Py, Chalc and Sph logged in LLRD001, though not on sulphide content (not shown on section). Again, considering the TW exaggeration for deeper holes, it';s apparent that mineralisation (base metal and gold, whether or not they are coincident) thickens towards the top (although the top is lateral-flat when VMS was deposited).

I'm happy with an interp that the feeder zone (whatever that is) and controlling fluid pathway has a strong LS top-bias. Similar to the Carrington FW Lode where is intersects the New Queen FW Lode. The New Queen lode is a replacement sulphide lode, with an apparent thickening of alteration and sulphides top of LS and thinning downwards (parallel to stratigraphy). Thicker and possibly gold rich top of LS, thinner and more base metal rich at depth... why not.

Where it gets really interesting is the theory of a FW Feeder Zone in this location at the Gap, that is both responsible for the HW horizon Zn rich lodes and extends with Au stockwork into the FW well below the Gap FW lodes as drilled so far. I can see the attraction of it, I just don;t see any evidence of it outside the Gap lode and immediate environs. I don't see the Gap Lode as a Feeder Zone as SHN portrays, given it is sub-horizontal when stratigraphy if rotated back to where it was when VMS mineralisation formed. Plenty of holes like LTRC002 drilled though the FW to some depth and grade stops below the FW lode outside. That's for another day...
