L14 is an interesting target for a number of reasons, and I’m sure that Dr Ward and Manfred Marx would now ink it in for testing as a matter of priority.

Anyone looking at the geology, in particular the location of fertile kimberlite pipes within the Lucapa Graben structure, wouldn’t be surprised if Lulo’s holy grail sits in or very close to the Cacuilo River, or one of its major tributaries.

I think it was Dr Ward who stated that the source of mb8 diamonds is likely to be within a radius of 3km from mb8. Well, IMHO, with the exception of targets you can count on one hand, we’ve exhausted all targets within that limit.

L14 sits comfortably within that 3km limit, and it’s upstream of mb8.

Given L14’s location, I appreciate that it will be a challenge to extract a bulk sample, but I think it will be worth the trouble. It’s not like we’re new to river diversions, and IMO, there’s a treasure trove of alluvial diamonds waiting to be mined at that site.

IMO, the cost of a <200m diversion at L14 would be clawed back in multiples!!!

As you can see from the first image, L14 is located in the Cacuilo River, but as I’ve stated, its location makes it an ideal candidate for a river diversion. In the second image, you get an idea of all the alluvial mining located immediately downstream of L14.
