I wouldnt play the market less than $250k and the first thing I would do is find a company that has a historical record of dividend growth.
Starting with $250k and five year time frame reinvest all dividend for five years. No need to add any more cash unless you have to. After five years you should be recieving roughly $20k in annual dividends and the value of position would be roughly $700k.
