At the briefing, Chair Barry Irvin said he was optimistic about being able to further improve the business. He mentioned the importance of 'cost out' programs given the cost of living issues facing consumers.

Innovation is the key such as high protein grocery products offers, or no sugar added in Dare or Farmers Union. More is coming in 2H 25 in yoghurt and milk based beverages.

The bounceback in bulk has been pleasing.

BGA foodservice has done well in cream and cheese. but quick service restaurants have seen lower volumes.

The $30 million Laverton (Vic) warehouse investment will have a three year payback from FY 26.

There's been a trend away with consumers from the 'middle': they're looking for value and many are trading down. Protein is huge such as in Yoplait yoghurt - affordable.

BGA is now down to less than 100 coolroom sites. Despite the reduction, overall volumes have increased.
