Sure, the best indicator is Mr Market.

Mr Market, in the short term, is herd behaviour. It can turn on a dime, up or down and in ways no one forsaw (well, OK, some will forsee but only because if you make a 50-50 prediction you will be right 50% of the time, not because you are a investment whizz).

Simplistic trading mantra's and anonymous people on public forums, with unknown motives trying to convince people to buy or sell stocks abound. Beware those who shout anonymous opinions (up or down) about a small cap stock on public forums. You have to ask - what is their angle? Ego? Selfless community service? Greed? Entertainment? Who knows.

If you really want to apply common sense, the best investment, given Mr Market's ficklness is an indexed fund, not trying to pick stocks. You will usually, over time, beat most of us stock pickers. Not as sexy though.

If you have a higher tolerance for risk, pick stocks but know the risk is real.

All the above is very simplistic advice but better than "NEAs stock price is down and has been since (insert arbitrary date here), therefore only lemmings should invest in it". Or the opposite - "NEA has to explode so get in now!"
