It's a very odd way for the Cambodian Government to announce what would be a major change of policy. But they are under pressure from China to clean up online scams, which are rife in the casino areas, particularly the border towns like Poipet.
Certainly could be just the new PM telling people what they want to hear. But the fact that he talked about cancelling existing licences, and said that even legal gambling must come to an end, is a real worry. At the very least, it creates so much uncertainty for investors in this stock.
