Fair and justified argument, and I get what you are saying. From my seat as a new buyer and in for the long haul, there is a definite bargain here. Sure there will be short term impacts but a 5% gain is far more likely than another 20% drop. I’m not a pro and I will never pretend to be one, but this situation definitely fills my simple strategy of buying low. But you’re right - it could trade lower but IMO in the short term but long term there is growth - I’d be the first to admit that I expect to see nothing but red in my profit margin for the next week or so. Funnily enough I bought WBC on the morning of the scandal - I had no idea, missed the news. This week I’m just about coming out of the red... and that took about 2 months?!?
No doubt day traders are going to feast on this on the days to come.
