My reccolection was peer2peer died for ratesetter because the cash rate was so low, cost of capital was so low, direct lending was better for the borrower than p2p.
If interest rates rise, and borrowing costs increase for intuitions. Could this re-create the competitive landscape which peer2peer lending was birthed from?
For context I was a member in 2016, lent out $16,000, returned me $21,000~ positive $5k over 5 years.. but this was at 8% interest for the borrower, these days the interface is offering 4% - which is not good enough for me.
