I am befuddled with this result.
I am concerned with the UNPAT to NPAT reconciliation (page 32 Half Year Results) for the group:
It says:
I am to understand, that without the sale of AET (one off contribution of $48.4 mio), the Profit from continuing operations is actually a loss of $3.3 mio???
So, after 6 months of toiling they produce a loss; and then pay a dividend?
Shouldn't the SP fall more than 4.5%? What am I missing?
Could someone with better insight post what is actually positive in the half year report, please.
My sentiment is none, although in reality it is "befuddled" for lack of a better word.
