I imagine that the difficulty in recruitment comes from the random assignment to control and treatment groups.
If I was unfortunate and suffered deep dermal or full thickness burns to between 3% and 60% of my total body area I would not want standard of care but would demand that BTM be used and so could not be enrolled.
They are aiming for March 2025 for primary completion. So they should achieve this if the rate of recruitment keeps up.
It’s a difficult issue. Perhaps some of the doctors here might comment on the professional ethics aspect of this?
