I think when we talk about relisted ASX listings after a period of private credit ownership we can think about the disastrous floats like Myer.
If a company is being relisted after such ownership I think run 1,000,000 miles, to me it's a floating time bomb.
however, generally, when it comes to private credit I look more favorably as I understand there is at present a general move away from publicly listed companies (It's a growing sector).
Also think that these companies will be more attractively priced then publicly listed companies because they are difficult to trade.
Private sector businesses and interest are a lot cheaper to buy but once bought you're more easily stuck. You can't just offload them the next day as you can on the ASX. There is far less liquidity.
I think of some very profitable businesses that I want access but the difficulty will be that such businesses are under much more relaxed disclosure obligations so you have to really know management. my feeling is that SOL will not materially invest in a private company without knowing management back to front.
This is the same tactic that Buffett has followed. You must be able to have confidence in the company an the management structure seems to be from what I can see the mantra.
I want SOL to invest in both private and public companies, I want them to be following this mantra, and I'll want them to expand the company. I want to be part of this sector. When I private company ownership an control or lending I am very happy.
These are my personal views Tim I think if private sector interests scared people then they would not want to own SOL shares.
I hope this makes sense
