Yes. The shareholding limit is 16% until 16 August 2021. And yes, I agree we could see increased interest in BGA and hopefully a substantial rise in the share price from August.
LHV and others...any further comments on possible manoeuvrings by institutional investors and major competitors? Anyone waiting in the wings? Not the Chinese, obviously. Would the major players in Australia be prevented from gaining more dairy interests?
Putting aside the end of the shareholding limit, we should do well following our next financial report. I live in Canberra and am familiar with Coles' stores. Based on a one-person survey, sales seem buoyant. BGA must be making a killing with its spreads (vegemite, peanut butter, honey) and dairy products prominently displayed and in apparent demand.
Hopefully, we'll get some very good price accumulation over the next six months. Hang on if you can I say.
And, at $5.78, we are up 25% since the SPP at $4.60 last December. Not bad at all. Go Bega!
