Hey no, 800 million people willingly signed up to Branch Out and new contracts allow 1PG to add in existing employees into the pool of professionals in their database. Your post suggests that 1PG creates NEW profiles by scraping the internet - they simply update their existing database with publicly available information.

A lot more of this will be answered when the app launches I guess. We can then all log in and see how it all works at the job seeker end. Until then be glad that 1PG has 1.1billion profiles on file - it could be worse, they could be trying to build 1.1 billion profiles from scratch.
